Notiva is a music-practice app (sight-reading and rhythm training). It is built to work almost entirely on your device. This policy explains the one online feature that exists and exactly what it does.
No accounts. No ads. No tracking. Notiva does not ask for your name, email, or any identifier, has no login, includes no advertising, and contains no analytics or tracking of any kind. The only personal information ever handled is the momentary network processing described below.
If you choose to Share a rhythm you composed, the app sends that etude's musical data only — note positions, durations, rests, and tuplet markings — to our sharing service so a short link can be generated for whoever you send it to. It contains no name, no title, no personal information, and no device or user identifier. The title you give a composition stays on your device and is never sent.
Shared etudes are stored temporarily by Cloudflare (our hosting provider) solely so the recipient can open the link, and are automatically deleted after 90 days. The stored record contains only the musical data described above. Notiva does not attach or retain your IP address, any personal timestamp, or any identifier alongside a shared etude.
As with any website, our provider momentarily processes network information such as your IP address for one narrow purpose: to route the request and to enforce basic rate limits that protect the service from abuse. Like virtually all internet infrastructure, the provider may also keep short-lived operational logs for security under its own privacy policy. This network information is never used to build a profile of you, to track you, or to advertise to you; it is used solely to provide the service you requested (so-called “support for internal operations”), and Notiva itself does not store or log it. All communication uses encrypted HTTPS.
Opening a shared link simply downloads that musical data back into an app so it can be practiced. Sharing is entirely optional; if you never tap Share, Notiva makes no network requests for this feature at all.
Shared etudes are anonymous rhythm data and self-delete within 90 days. If you believe a shared link is being misused, or you want a specific shared etude removed sooner, email us the link and we will delete it promptly. Because there are no accounts, there is no other personal data to delete. See our terms of use for what may be shared.
Notiva uses your microphone to detect the pitch you sing or play for the sight-reading exercises. This happens entirely on your device in real time. Audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
Some buttons (e.g. the app store listing, or the developer's website) open your browser to an external site. Those sites have their own privacy policies; Notiva sends them nothing.
Notiva is safe for all ages. It has no accounts, no ads, no messaging, and no way to enter personal information. The only personal information ever processed is the momentary network handling described above — an IP address used solely to deliver the request and protect the service from abuse. This is the narrow “support for internal operations” use that children’s privacy law (including COPPA) permits without parental consent, and we rely on that exception. It is never used to contact, profile, or track anyone, and Notiva never stores it.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address.
